Lightning kills 180 sheep of a nomad in Ramban
As many as 180 sheep and goats of a nomad Bakarwal reportedly died by the lightning in Khari tehsil here during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday.
Sources said that 180 sheep and goats of Nazir Ahmed Bakarwal son of Majeed Ahmed Bakarwal of village Garh Reasi, were killed at Abalkote-Sarkantha top, Khari tehsil where he had taken them for grazing.
“The lightning struck in the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday,” they said.
Nazir Ahmed confirmed the killing of the livestock.
Surprisingly, not a single officer or official from administration has visited Sarkantha top to take stock of the losses.
